One of the songs that I love is called “He Made A Change”. The first time I heard it was with Ernie Haase and the Signature Sound. After that, it seemed to be around a lot. I really don’t know why I had not heard it sooner. Actually, the Cathedrals sang it first or at least before Ernie Haase did. Of course, Ernie used to be a member of the Cathedrals before they disband. The message in the song is so great. He made a change in me. I am walking and talking a different way because Jesus got a hold of me and made a change. Isn’t that awesome?
If you have not had that change in your heart yet, please listen to the song and then make the choice of asking the Lord Jesus into your heart today. When you tell Him your sins and ask Him to forgive you, it might just dawn on you that He went to that cruel cross just for you. I know that can be tremendously hard to believe but it is very true. He died so that we all might live. However, it is a choice. He does not force anything on you. This is up to you. But it is so worth it.
And now, here are Ernie Haase and the Signature Sound (one of my very favorite groups) singing He Made A Change!!

Sometimes, when I have some heavy problems, I love to sit and just listen to music. I love that I can get on this computer, get online and find some inspiring music that will change my attitude and just make things better. Lately, I have been dealing with some health problems that have all but consumed my time and thoughts. That just should not be the case, especially with a Christian. But we are definitely human, proving that just about hourly in my case. I need to have something to help me make it through the time of worry and concern. That something is a Someone. Jesus does it all! He has taken care of me during this whole thing. But the best part of it is that He is so interested in a phases of my life that when I have such concerns, He wants me to listen to inspirational music because it soothes my nerves and takes away the problem from my focus.
These videos that I love to watch have the type of music that just takes every care and puts it to the side. I love music and especially inspiring music that tells of the Lord and what He does and has done for us. From the oldest gospel tunes to some of the more modern sounds, I love the inspirational stories that are told in the music. I know that I cannot put all the wonderful music that I listened to last night on here but I can select one that moves me and that gives me hope through the Lord.
This is an old song but very relevant today as well. Here is the song “Oh, What A Savior” ably sung by Ernie Haase and The Signature Sound. Listen to the words, really listen. Enjoy!
Please let me know how this and other songs or posts affect you. And if you have a special song you like and would like to see here, just email me and let me know. I will try to get it for you. God bless you richly!
Sometimes, it’s pretty tough believing that we are in the hand of God, isn’t it? With all the junk going on in the world right now, there are times when I have thought that I haven’t heard from God and that I had gone off the path. And that was true at times. But there were other times when God was right there, I wasn’t off the path a bit and He was guiding me just as He said He would.
Kris Kristofferson wrote a beautiful song called “Why Me, Lord?” that says everything I always wanted to ask the Lord. Why me? What have I ever done to deserve even one of the blessings from You? God says that we are given a gift of eternal life. It wasn’t earned. It is not deserved. But He loves us so much that He gave it to us but it was paid with a price. Jesus went to the cross to give His life for ours. That answers the question. But the song also asks what I can do to give back to the Lord. And that is what we need to find out today. What can I do to give back to You, Lord? Show me the way.
Bob Cain has gone to be with the Lord but his legacy of songs are still here. Bob Cain singing “Why Me, Lord?” as only Bob Cain can:
Ordinarily, I would just write something here and be done with it. Give you a something from God and enjoy it myself. I intend to do just that. God is our beginning and our end. He knows the end from the beginning. He told us that in Isa. 46:10. (Isa 46:9-10 Remember former things from forever; for I am God, and no other is God, even none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from the past things which were not done, saying, My purpose shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure;)
So, what does that mean for us today? It means that we can count on and trust in the fact that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (John 3:16). He gave us that which He loved so much so that we could live instead of die spiritually. Since He knows us from the beginning, not of our lives but of our existence, He knows what we need and want before we even know this. Trust Him to guide us in those things that we are doing and should be doing.
Now, for your listening pleasure, and it is a pleasure for me, here are the Gaither Vocal Band guys singing The Alpha And Omega!

Most of us have heard the song “Amazing Grace” sung somewhere, many in our churches. However, do you know the history of it? No? The author of the lyrics is a man named John Newton. Before he became a Christian, he was the captain of a slave ship. He had heard many old Negro spirituals sung below decks. The author of the music is unknown but John heard from the Lord to give us this awesome and amazing song that has lasted through the ages.
I had seen this some time ago but it was brought to my attention again today. I just had to post it. Here to give you a small history lesson and to sing the song from only the black keys of the piano like most Negro spirituals are done is Wintley Phipps. I do hope you enjoy this as much as I have:
This music gives me God’s goosebumps. I love it so much!

Tonight I stumbled, literally, into Godtube again. I love Godtube. There are so many wonderful songs and videos there. Awesome. But this particular video caught my eye. I think you will see why. The video is about a Special Olympics event with a father and son competing. It is a type of the relationship we could have with our Father. I think you will like it very much.
The song is by Nicole C. Mullen and the song is My Redeemer Lives!

I think I have loved the songs and videos Carman does since I first found out about him. It was several years ago that I learned about his songs from watching a Christian network on television. I actually cannot remember if I saw him on TBN first or not but I got hooked on his songs right away. Since he aims his ministry at the youth and teens, it was not surprising that this particular video would be aimed the same way. But I do not care how old you are, this video is great!!! This is Carman in Satan Bite the Dust.

There are times when I am unable to post on this blog. Usually it’s because of other obligations. I wish that I could do more than I am.
But today, I have found a fantastic song sung by David Phelps who, if you have never heard him, used to sing with the Gaither Vocal Band. It is most assuredly worth the time to listen to this video. He does an awesome job. This song is annointed!! No More Night sung by David Phelps!
Over the years, it seems that the American Thanksgiving day has evolved into something that simply marks so much time before Christmas, which is also just another day. For a lot of reasons, this particular day’s meaning has been lost. Now, I do realize that when the original celebration occurred here in the U.S., it had little to do with having a “turkey day” and much to do with the giving of thanks that the pilgrims had made a hazardous trip and had made it to a safe place to live.
God wants us to give thanks for all things that are good in our lives. He even has wanted us to give thanks for adversities because in those, we are able to grow in our spirits. So today, let us think on those things that are good
(1Th 5:18) In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
(Php 4:6-8) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
And now, please give thanks for your loved ones…wherever they may be. Give thanks for all things that are good in your life.
This video is the song: “Give Thanks With A Grateful Heart”
Happy Thanksgiving from Topshelf!! May your day be rich with blessings and love!
I found Petra some years ago when I needed to hear some music that did not necessarily sound like the canned music that you find in some churches. These guys were the ones that showed me that songs sung to God do not always have to sound quiet and sacred. Here they sing “Lord, I Lift Your Name On High!” What a wonderful praise song! Thank You, Lord!
