Saw A Question: Do You Believe In God?

Ξ June 11th, 2008 | → 4 Comments | ∇ Christian Living, End Times, Growing In The Lord |

Welcome back!

I answered this question on another other blog. I love that question. Gets some people thinking. But it got me thinking because of the variety of answers. So, I will also pose the question…Do YOU believe in God? I find that so many do not. Others believe…sort of. What a dangerous time for people to believe this way. It makes me so sad to see that people will believe so many things that are not of God, not good for them. I do realize that God is a gentleman and will not push His will on anyone. However, sometimes I just want to shake the secular right out of folks.

We are living in the coming of the last days of this age. I say that because it is not the end of the world contrary to what many people believe. There’s that word again….believe. You know, you can believe just about anything if you put your mind to it. You can believe that the ground is going to produce a money tree but that does not make it so. That’s the problem. People tend to believe about anything but what is the truth? Doesn’t anyone want to know that?

I do realize that not everyone is going to be willing to believe that a man was born of a virgin, grew up in this world but never sinned, performed a lot of miracles, taught things that most people would not accept, died on a cross at Calvary and was resurrected on the third day at which time he began to walk the earth for another several days, then rose up to heaven. Yes, that would be a tad hard to swallow for me too if I did not know that I know that is the Gospel truth! God loves you! God loves me too. I originally had a problem believing that but I do now. Awesome!

Does God believe in you? Most definitely! He is the Creator. He gave us everything and believes that we are worth it to become saved from this sin natured world of evil and nasty things. He wants us to know Him better. We can have a close, personal relationship with Him if we will pray and study God’s Word, if we will talk with Him as if we are related because we are related. I am an adopted child of God through Jesus Who died for me on the cross, taking away my sins. Do I still sin? Of course I do but God forgives me each time if I ask Him. What He does not forgive is someone who willfully and knowingly sins and has no remorse. We must be willing to turn away from that sin and run to Him again.

So, the question here is Do you believe in God? I raise my hand high as I say, YES! I do! He is the best thing that ever happened to me…my husband is second and he’s okay with that because God is the best thing that ever happened to him too!!!

Very awesome post on the reality of God. So many who have encountered inconsistencies and errors of men in transcribing the Bible from its original form have shied away from their faith. We have to differentiate the truthfulness and faithfulness of God’s words from the errors and foibles of man. As they say, we live by faith not by sight and there goes the difference between a Christian and an atheist. They are like people who marvel at the works of the sun and disregard the sun altogether. Thanks for your post. God bless.

Yes, the translations can be a stumbling block for some. I do believe that when a person goes to God to listen to Him on any subject including from the Bible regardless of translation that God can and does come through with answers.

There are translations that simply miss it. Others are good but not great. Some are right on…we think. The only way that can be truly accurate is when God tells us what is and is not right.

Thank you, Mel, for stopping by and adding to what you wrote before. Awesome! Praise God!

I do! Believe in God, that is. :) He is the most important in my life too!
People who just sort of believe are kind of hard for me to understand… probably harder to understand than the people who just plain don’t believe. I can’t really explain why… but that’s how I feel. :)
Hope you have a great Sunday and a great rest of the weekend. God bless,
    Elise

That’s a wonderful statement of faith! I love it. It’s so great to see someone who is not afraid to say that they love the Lord! Some people are so afraid that someone will think badly of them. Who cares?!!!! We have the love of the Lord! We are the children of the King! Awesome!

Thank you for sharing your faith with us.
